Peace with God? Why do i need that?

Let me ask…
Are you tired, hurting, broken, feeling lost, or rejected - as if you do not have a purpose, focus, or aim?
Maybe you feel like there isn’t anything to look forward to in life, and the best days are behind you?

Or, perhaps to the opposite extreme, you are crushing it, life is grand, and you do not have a worry in the world?

No matter where you are in life - one thing is certain. Death is inevitable. Death is the great divide. You do not want to face death without peace with God. The truth is you do not want to face life without peace with God, either.

Christians ultimately believe that you do not have to fear death or wonder what lies beyond the grave, because we know someone who has been there (genuinely) and made it back. Jesus. Likewise, you do not have to live this life alone without God’s peace resting on you every day.

This is why the gospel is so important. You can meet Jesus right where you are, even as you read this. Whether you are a drug addict at the end of your rope or a CEO of a Fortune-500 company, Jesus is the right choice for everyone!
Here’s the reason why…

God Created You To Have A Relationship With Him.

GOD LOVES YOU!
The bible makes it clear that you were made with an identity, intentionally with purpose - before your conception, at the inception in God’s mind, He had a plan for you to know him and be known by him.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Our Sins Separate Us From God.

In the beginning man had fellowship with God. However,  because of sin and disobedience man’s relationship with God was broken, and remained broken until Jesus came.

Isaiah 59:2
But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.

Sins Cannot Be Excused Or Removed By Our Own Efforts.

No matter how hard we try to make up for wrong - because God is just and Holy, we cannot, through human effort fix the problem of sin or make right the wrongs we commit. From the lightest disobedience to the gravest sin, sin-is-sin in God’s eyes and without a remedy, there is no hope of restoring a relationship with God.

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Paying The Price For Sin

God came in bodily form - in Jesus - to make up for the sin and close the gap between God and Man. How? He died on a cross, as a sacrifice in our place. Jesus is the remedy for sin. He came to restore our relationship with God.

Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

EVERYONE who Believes in him can have eternal life.

This always seems too good to be true, but the bible clearly teaches us that the good news is because Jesus paid the price, life, peace, joy, and hope can be yours.

But it requires placing your 'hope', your ‘faith’, your ‘confidence’ in Jesus, and committing your life to him.

No matter how terrible you have lived or how well you have lived or how many deeds of kindness you have done, you cannot clean yourself up enough on your own to earn right-standing with God. The Bible clearly tells us that you have to trust Jesus alone.

Acts 16:31
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”

Life With Jesus Starts Now And Lasts Forever.

By placing your faith in Jesus you can be prepared to meet God and be liberated from the fear of death, but you can also begin living today - right now as a citizen of Heaven. In other words, life with Jesus begins now!

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
